Candidate Profile

1. Connection to Wild Eagle Lodge

Describe your connection to Wild Eagle Lodge, including how long you have been connected with the property and how you use it.

My family and I enjoy spending time at Wild Eagle Lodge and have come to appreciate everything that makes it special. We currently own two units and value the opportunity to enjoy the property with our family while also participating in the rental program. We have a personal interest in seeing Wild Eagle remain a place that owners and guests can enjoy for years to come.

2. Relevant Experience

Summarize the professional, volunteer, board, financial, property, or other experience you would bring to WELCA.

I am a Regional Vice President for an insurance company, overseeing operations throughout Wisconsin, including underwriting, claims, and marketing. My role involves financial oversight, strategic planning, problem-solving, and making decisions that balance competing priorities. I believe this experience would be valuable in helping guide the association and protect our investment.

3. Reasons for Running & Priorities

Why are you seeking a seat on the WELCA Board, and what two priorities would you focus on during your term?

I want to serve on the Board because I care about Wild Eagle and want to help protect what we’ve all invested in. My priorities would be strengthening our financial planning, including adequate reserves, and ensuring we stay ahead of property maintenance. I believe being proactive today will help us avoid unnecessary expenses and preserve the property for years to come.

4. Responsibilities to Owners

What do you believe are the Board’s most important responsibilities to WELCA owners, and how would you approach those responsibilities?

I believe the Board’s responsibility is to protect our investment, maintain the property, and make decisions in the best interests of all owners. That means being financially responsible, communicating openly, and planning for the future. I would approach these responsibilities with fairness, transparency and common sense.

5. Evaluating Competing Priorities

Board members must weigh financial needs, property maintenance, owner interest, governing documents, and long-term planning. How would you evaluate competing priorities and make decisions?

In my professional role, I regularly make decisions involving competing priorities. I believe in gathering the facts, listening to different perspectives, and considering both immediate needs and long-term consequences. My goal would always be to make practical, financially responsible decisions that benefit the association as a whole.

6. Working Through Disagreement

How do you approach disagreement with other directors or owners, and how would you support the Board’s collective decision after a vote?

I believe healthy discussions and differing opinions lead to better decisions. I respect that not everyone will agree, and I am always willing to listen to another perspective. Once a decision is made, I believe it’s important to support the Board and work together to move forward.

7. Commitment to Board Service

Board service requires preparation, regular meeting attendance, review of materials, and follow-through between meetings. Can you make that commitment? Please note any known limitations.

Yes. I understand the time and responsibility involved in serving on the Board and am prepared to make that commitment. My professional experience has taught me the importance of being prepared, following through, and being accountable.

8. Potential Conflicts of Interest

Please disclose any current business, employment, ownership, family, or financial relationship that could be reasonably viewed as an actual or potential conflict of interest involving WELCA business. Disclosure does not by itself disqualify a candidate.

My family and I own two units at Wild Eagle Lodge and participate in the rental program. I also work in the insurance industry. I would disclose any potential conflicts that arise and ensure my decisions are made in the best interests of the association.
